Glenda Hinchliffe is a highly respected dressage coach and trainer based in Coldstream, Victoria, with a lifetime dedicated to the development of horses and riders across all levels of the sport. With decades of experience in both competition and coaching, she is known for her systematic, classical approach to training and her ability to produce confident, correct combinations from young horse through to FEI level.

Beginning her coaching career at just 18, Glenda has spent many years refining her knowledge through training both in Australia and internationally, including time in the USA and study with renowned European and international trainers such as Christopher and Jane Bartle, Björn Binder, and Paul Beck. This broad foundation has shaped her emphasis on correct basics, rider position, and long-term horse development.

An NCAS-accredited coach, Glenda has successfully coached riders from grassroots to elite levels, including State and National Squad combinations across dressage and related disciplines. She is particularly recognised for her eye for detail, calm and encouraging teaching style, and her ability to tailor training programs to suit each horse and rider partnership.

Glenda is proud to have coached and supported para-dressage athletes to high-performance levels and was honoured as Para Dressage Coach of the Year in recognition of her dedication, inclusivity, and outstanding results within the para-equestrian community.

Based at Wyronga Park in the Yarra Valley, Glenda mentors competitive riders, young horses, and high-performance combinations, and has played a key role in the development of numerous successful dressage partnerships. Her coaching philosophy centres on correct, ethical training, strong fundamentals, and building confident, harmonious horse-and-rider relationships that stand the test of time.
